Nascida em Areias-PB, a Cervejaria Gameleira homenageia em seu nome e grafismos uma antiga Gameleira existente no município. A árvore que era o “céu verde da cidade” foi derrubada por ordem da prefeitura em 1931, sob a alegação de que as suas raízes e galhos poderiam danificar a estrutura física das casas e atrapalhar a construção de novas edificações. Entretanto, suas raízes resistiram na lembrança e imaginário da população, rendendo até hoje belíssimos frutos, como o trabalho de quem produz a Cervejaria Gameleira, ou simplesmente, GMLR.
Born in Areia, Paraíba, BR, the Barewery Gameleira pays homage in its name and graphics to an old Gameleira in the city.
